PDF to PowerPoint without pretending it's a design file

Each page becomes a slide with its text in editable boxes. Use it to rebuild a deck whose source file is lost — not to preserve a pixel-perfect layout.

Text only Output: .pptx 1 slide per page
Slides are rebuilt, not copied

Text arrives in editable boxes at approximately the original position. Animations, transitions, slide masters, speaker notes and exact geometry are not in a PDF, so they cannot come out of one. Complex overlapping layouts will arrive as overlapping text boxes.

When rebuilding a deck is worth it

The usual case: the .pptx is gone, the PDF export survives, and the client wants three slides changed. Retracing the whole deck by hand takes an afternoon; a converted file that is 80% right takes twenty minutes to fix. That trade is the entire value of this tool, and it only works if you go in expecting to fix things.

The other case is content salvage: pulling the text of a deck into a new template, where the layout is being replaced anyway and only the words matter.

What a converted slide looks like

  • One slide per page, sized to 16:9 or 4:3 as you choose — not to the PDF's page size.
  • Each text block becomes its own editable box, positioned approximately.
  • Photographs and figures are placed where they appeared, at the resolution available in the PDF.
  • Backgrounds, gradients and shapes may be lost or flattened into the text layer.

How to convert

  1. Add the PDFThe preview lists slides to be created — one per page — before anything is generated.
  2. Choose the slide size16:9 for modern projectors and video calls; 4:3 only if the deck must match an old template.
  3. Export, then rebuildApply the client's template, fix overlaps, and re-set the typography. Budget roughly a minute per slide for a designed deck.

FAQ

Will the slides look exactly like the PDF?

No. Text will land close to where it was, but fonts, spacing, shapes and backgrounds are approximations. Expect to spend time on anything designed rather than typed.

Can I keep the animations?

They were never in the PDF. A PDF records a static page, so there is nothing to recover — rebuilding them in PowerPoint is the only option.

Why is my text overlapping?

Because the original used positioned text boxes that the converter places by coordinate. Drag them apart; the words themselves are intact.
