Insert pages from another PDF, exactly where they belong

Add a signed cover, an appendix, or a corrected sheet from a second document — at the start, at the end, or after any page number you name.

Vector kept 2 files in · 1 out Any page position
Both documents stay intact

Pages from the second file are copied into the first, so each keeps its own page size, fonts and vector content. Nothing is resized to match, and neither source file is changed.

Insert vs merge: the difference is a position

Merge appends one whole file after another: convenient when you are combining a contract and its exhibits, useless when the missing page belongs at page 12. Insert takes a page selection and a position, so a three-page appendix can land exactly after the signature page instead of at the end of the world. Both operations copy page objects, so both keep quality.

How to insert pages

  1. Add both filesThe first file you add is the base document; the second supplies the inserted pages. The file list shows them in that order.
  2. Choose a positionStart, after a page number, or end. “After page 12” means the inserted pages become 13, 14, 15 and everything else shifts down.
  3. Choose pages from the second fileLeave 1-3 to take the first three, or name a different selection. Export writes one combined file.

Page sizes, headers and the small print

A4 into Letter is fine: each page keeps its own dimensions and the viewer simply shows a mixed-size document. Headers and footers are part of each page, so the inserted pages bring their own — if the numbering has to run continuously, expect to fix the footers afterwards. Document bookmarks from the second file are not merged into the first.

FAQ

Which file is the base document?

The first one in the list. If you added them in the wrong order, remove both and add them again — the list order is the merge order.

Can I insert an image instead of pages?

Convert the image to a PDF first with JPG to PDF, then insert that one-page file. That keeps the image at its original resolution instead of re-encoding it.

What happens to page numbering?

Nothing automatic. Printed numbers inside headers and footers were part of the original pages and do not reflow, so a document with stamped page numbers will show duplicates after the insertion point.
